Bette is a Charities Evaluation Services Licensed PQASSO mentor and offers a range of services from bespoke support to group mentoring sessions for those interested in finding out about, or implementing, quality systems and PQASSO.

Sue is an experienced and practicing mediator and a qualified education professional.

John has a long career in social work including time as director for Somerset Social Services.  He is a member of the British Institute for Conflict management and the Federation of Health and Safety in Social Care.

Catherine offers bespoke training in marketing (both marketing communications and general marketing) and customer care.  She can also facilitate sessions with both paid and voluntary staff and board members on business and organisational development.

Catherine is  freelance project manager, consultant and trainer and a Chartered Marketer.  She has extensive experience of working autonomously to a general brief, managing projects and motivating and supporting people.  She has a background in the voluntary and public sector, including the arts and education, as well as experience of running a business.

Sarah (PGCE) is a voluntary sector youth worker with over fifteen years experience.  Currently Sarah is employed as the Sedgemoor Deanery Youth Development Worker with The Diocese of Bath and Wells.

Sue is an ex cvs/vb manager with a background in the statutary and business sectors.

Sue can offer bespoke IT training or standard software package training. She is also a skilled facilitator who can work with organisations or committees to clarify organisational issues, etc.

Caroline Cook is an independent consultant and trainer, offering personal, professional and organisational development.  She delivers training in a wide range of subjects including management, leadership, confidence building, volunteer management, governance and strategic planning.

Consultancy areas include organisational reviews, facilitation, partnership and multiagency working and strategic/business planning.

Ann has extensive experience as a volunteer in the VCS.

Finbar Cullen has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years and has been a prospect researcher since 1999. 

He set up ResearchPlus in January 2005 offering a range of prospect research, training and consultancy services.  Before that, Finbar was a senior researcher at The Factary and worked for Children's Hospice South West on their major capital appeal for over 2 years.  He has researched individuals, companies, grant-making trusts etc., using a wide range of public domain resources. 

He is a member of the Researchers in Fundraising (RiF) committee, and is responsible for securing sponsorship for RiF conferences.  RiF is a special interest group of the Institute of Fundraising.  He is also a member of the RiF Data Protection Action Group and RiF Training Action Group.

Finbar provides training at conferences for the Insitute of Fundraising and others, speaking on various aspects of prospect research, including how to get hold of valuable resources free of charge, getting started on prospect research, using prospect research in your fundraising campaigns, etc.

Cathy Debenham is a consultant and trainer specialising in third sector communication (ie internal and external communication strategy and public relations).

Julia Dinsdale has worked as an adult educator for the last 25 years working in all sectors of further and higher education as well as the voluntary and community sectors.  She has offered training courses in a range of areas including equal opportunities, interviewing skills, training the trainers and more extensively in community development work.  She is currently delivering the Certificate in Community Development.

Julia began work in inner city London then moved to work in Brighton and later in the rural areas of Worcestershire and Herefordshire and is now working in the South West. 

Previous work experience includes a range of community work, social work, working in a women's refuge and teaching.

Sue Duffen is the other half of Values Learning and has been involved in Adult & Community Learning for over 25 years.  She has been a trainer, co-ordinator, manager and promoter. 

Since going freelance in 2004, she has worked in the voluntary & community sector supporting large and small organisations with Skills for Life, Family Learning, Learning Champions, evaluations and courses in Community Involvement.  Although the main focus of Sue's work is in the South West, her work also takes her to Scotland, Wales and to the European Union.

Mary Edwards is an experienced trainer and funding consultant working in the voluntary sector.  Mary has over 7 years experience, including working as a funding advisor at a Council for Voluntary Service.  Mary has worked with a wide range of groups and helped them to successfully identify, apply and secure funding.

Gareth Edwards has over 20 years' experience of fundraising in the voluntary sector and now specialises in delivering fundraising training in a creative and innovative way.

Angela Englefield (BA Hons Education/Religious Studies, Diploma in Art Therapy) has a broad range of experience managing projects in the Voluntary and Community Sector.  She has developed and trained volunteers and staff to work with marginalised groups.  She is committed to supporting people to develop their personal skills in a creative way.

Cara is Project Manager for the Children and Young People's Partnership in Somerset.

Elizabeth Friend lectured in communications studies at Thames Valley University for eight years and is a highly experienced trainer.  Elizabeth is a Master Practitioner in NLP and an adult tutor and has trained as a counsellor.

Marion Rayner is Community Development Manager at Community First, the Rural Community Council (RCC) in Wiltshire and Swindon, where she leads on parish and community-led planning, community involvement, rural services and environmental issues.

Marion has worked in RCCs for 10 years and during this time her responsibilities have spanned village halls, rural services, rural transport, social enterprise as well as community consultation and parish plans. This followed a previous career as a biological technician supporting research on plant breeding, microbiology and red seaweeds!

She is an experienced trainer and regular runs a 5 session rolling programme of workshops for parish plan steering groups as well as other workshops on community consultation and environmental issues for communities.

Marion is married, has two grown up daughters and a grandson, and lives in a village near Bath where she is involved with a community shop project. Any spare time is spent indulging in her love of the countryside through natural history, walking and painting.
